Pythagoras lived on Samos until he was 40 years old. The historian Herodotus and the fable writer Aesop also spent part of their lives on Samos.
The Cave of Pythagoras: It is the place where Pythagoras was hiding when the tyrant of Samos, Polycrates, was chasing after him. The cave can be visited, even if its access is quite difficult.
